just did it yesterday.. couldn't find a video.. but did search xda and rootwiki.. here is the link post I used:
[ODIN] [ROM] [EP1F] Gingerbread 2.3.4 full leak - xda-developers
After that I followed Kejar31's instructions to flash his GummyCharged GBE:
[ROM][EP1F][ODIN]+[CWM] GummyCharged GBE 1.5 7/14/11
Same thing as before when you rooted.. Odin on the leak. After that, GummyCharged can flash with CWM.

thanks waterrules! And no, the last time I rooted a phone was years back before I had my iphone 4 and now I made the switch to the DC! I've been looking for an in depth tutorial everywhere but I just can't seem to find it. I've found bits and pieces like the previous poster posted however.

I am not familiar with Odin at all. The phone I bought off ebay says it is rooted with the EE4 update. I want to know what to do from here on out.

Ah... gotcha!
Right now the current Gingerbreak leak is still buggy and has some significant problems from time to time (which is why it has not been released yet).
I would advise staying with EE4 for the time being (unless you feel daring of course)!
If you still want to go to the latest GB leak, let us know and we can walk you through it (using the info found in the links above).

bugs?
I'm rocking Altered Beast currently and really want to bump it up to gingerbread with the gummy rom. I have heard that there are bugs with Gingerbread for charge. Has anyone found any bugs? What are the benefits?

no major bugs on my end.. i've heard some complaining about streaming issues with different apps.. every once in awhile I do have some weird skipping sounds with songs in my Amazon Cloud Player, but nothing major... I use Widget Locker and when I unlock the screen sometimes the screen is blank until I make a swipe motion on it. Like I said, nothing major for me... calls are fine, 4G and 3G are fine, wifi works, etc etc.

The latest GB leak is mostly fine but I find that from time to time the dialer kicks me out after 3 or 4 presses of a button.

Hotmail issue?
I have hotmail and when I install gummy it stops working. This happened when I had froyo and I installed gummy also. I was hoping it was a fluke with the froyo but now I see its just Gummy. Anyone know how to fix this?
