Default help after rooting and moving all apps to sd card via titanium backup. phone won't boot up properly

hi all. new here. trying to find help as i have recently rooted my phone.

I rooted my droid charge today via this youtube video from kraisydave - http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1mR-FtNm5s [took out colon after http to post]

The root went fine and the phone rebooted properly and everything was normal with all data and apps still on the phone. I downloaded Gemini App Manager and shut down the apps there were listed on this post - http//forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1082588

The phone was still working at this point. So I downloaded a wifi and teather app as well as Titanium Backup. I backup'ed up all apps via their batch function (about 40 apps). I then moved all apps to my SD card and noticed that my AccuWeather widget was not working. I went back into Titanium Backup and moved the widget back onto the phone and I was still receiving an error that the widget was not working properly. I tried shutting down the phone and restarting but the phone seems to be stuck after rebooting. The samsung screen shows up and then the splash screen says "droid" and "blows up" but then the screen seems to be stuck at the part where the lights circle around and around. not sure if this is normal or not but the phone has been stuck here for at least 15-20 minutes. Can anyone help on how to fix?

Welcome to Android Forums!

Exactly how did you move all your apps to the SD card with titanium? Widgets and system apps must reside on the device without exception or they won't function properly. You may have to reflash your phone with either stock or custom firmware.

Welcome dfunk!
Like lunatic asked, how did you move the apps? Once TB backs up your apps, they are backed up to your sd card. Some apps cannot be moved to the sd card because they will not function properly, like your weather app.
Perhaps you froze an app that shouldn't have been frozen. And also like luna said, you may have to reflash.

Hey thanks for your help guys. Sorry about posting my issue here. Read that this is only for intros and not issues :/

Before I answer your questions, I want to say that I did a factory reset on the phone and was able to download titanium again and resort all of the apps that I backed up (whew!) My phone is pretty much back to normal but my weather widget is still not working and I am afraid to shut the phone down again.

The way that I moved the apps was through titanium. I went into the app, clicked the far left menu button at the bottom of the phone (it pulls up 6 options: help & support, filters, batch, market tools, preferences, more) and I clicked on batch. I went down to the Move / Integrate category and clicked "move user apps to the SD card". Right now I have 39 items (apps?) on the SD and 1 on internal memory - the weather widget (which is still not working). Looking down thru the list of items in Titanium, it seems that all (with the exception of 1 or 2) items have the phone logo beside them rather than the SD card emblem.

Well, I could not find your device in our forums, but can you uninstall that app, then reinstall it?

Edit:nm, found it...allow me to move this thread to your device forum a sec. ok?

dfunk, the weather widget is probably looking for a service provided by an app that you've moved to the sd card which is screwing it up. While the batch command is handy, what I think you will have to do is reset your phone (again) and then move the apps, one by one to the SD card until you find the one that breaks your widget.

You could always use titanium to move everything back and see if the widget begins working again and then start moving apps back one by one, but a reset would be cleaner and less likely to leave something whacky behind that might cause problems in the future.

After restoring everything via Titanium Backup, it seems that it moved everything from my SD card to my Internal Storage (with the exception of 1 app - ESPN Mobile). The weather widget still did not work so I deleted the widget and added it again and it worked. I shut down and the reboot worked fine so I guess I'm all good now. Wish I would have backed up the data before I mistakenly batch moved all apps/processes to the SD card. Not sure what "data" was lost yet but hopefully it was nothing important. Oh well, live and learn I guess. Thank you for your help guys

A phone will always work best with all apps in internal memory. The SD Card is for storage and nothing more. These phones come with a class 2 or class 4 (if you're lucky) card and those read pretty slow.
