Default 3G Data Issue

I have recently purchased an unlocked LG Nitro HD, and cannot get 3g data speeds. I was in downtown Dayton where I know there is 3G, but was not able to connect at any speed faster than edge.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with that phone but generally I have never heard anyone having good luck getting unlocked phones to work right on Cincy Bell. Have you called them? They might know of specific settings to tweak
