My old EVO 4G.
Screen is cracked however it still powers on and touch works fine. Comes with SD Card/Battery/USB Charger
It is rooted already using unrevoked method and has wireless tether installed.
Easy fix with $10-20 dollar ebay kit

When you said "cracked screen" I thought you meant it in the singular term. As in there was one crack, to me that is a smashed screen.

But if someone did just want a phone to mess with and learn about taking it apart and things like that it would be a cool thing to have this.

Then what would the point of having that installed be? I'm simply curious as to all it can and cannot do, given that (yes, it is rooted), but also has a bad ESN.

Yeah, wireless tether means nothing when you can't activate it on sprint b/c of the bad esn. I think that the main reason to buy this phone would be for the parts (even though the screen is smashed) you might be able to use the rocker buttons/usb port...things like that.

Lol. I would have bout it for that price and I have a perfect evo and a evo 3d. That is cheap. Get a cheap glass for it, flash it and you have a rooted evo for less than $100 to use on metro or boost.

It usually means the phone was lost, stolen or damaged. Most likely an insurance claim on it. If you steal a cdma phone and they report it lost or stolen a carrier will never activate it again. Cuts down on stealing phones to sell, well some what. Could also be someone didn't pay their bill and it went to collections. You have to make sure when buying a used phone it has a clean esn that isn't attached to a account and doesn't have money owed on it. If they owe they might want you to pay it before they will reactivate that phone.
