Rooting problem

OK. I tried rooting my cliq using the instructions on Unlockr. I flashed the phone but thereafter it would only turn on, pull up the MotoBlur sign in and have a date of 12/31/1969 at 7PM. I can't sign in to MotoBlur at that point and have to basically reinstall the most recent update and start from scratch again.

All I want to do is remove those pre-installed apps that I never use.

Any help?

I had the sme issue and was not able to get the date or the keyboard to work right. I flashed Handler Exploit and it worked. Then loaded Root Explorer and got rid of the junk.

Now I do not know if the OTA update to 1.4.8 will undo the root or not, hope someone knows ans can answer.

you will most definitely lose root access

I can't download for rooting I can't even download the first part for windows help anyone
