sure...First off make sure that your USB Debugging is Checked ON
find it in Settings>Applications>Development.
Now the Second you need to be sure that you have installed AndroidSDK and Motorola Drivers. Once you have all that then you can proceed.
to get adb commands to work you must make sure that the USB drive is NOT mounted-
then you can flash the new recovery.img.

Default Watch the Video.

Hi!
Okay' they just told you to visit UnLockr's root tutorial and I thought I'd give you a bit of advice. Watch his video! The written tutorial actually stinks and doesn't follow what you're really supposed to do at all. I've spent all day trying to follow his tutorial and couldn't get it. But I just watched his video a half an hour ago and got it. So I'd watch the video because it's definitely more informative. I just finished rooting and everything on mine so i'm good to go! Good luck!
Feel free to email me if you have any more questions that I may be able to help with. =D

Well theres a video tutorial to go along with each written tutorial right at the top of the pages. I neglected to mention because i figured since the videos are right at the top of the same pages as the written tutorial that it was pretty self explanatory. But youre right, the videos do help someone who is not experienced with the procedure
however, I don't understand what you mean when you say the tutorial doesn't tell you what youre supposed to do. Of course it does, it tells you everything, obviously its correct otherwise you would see a lottttttt of upset comments on the comment board. you probably got hung up at the part where you flash the recovery.img through ADB, almost everyone gets stuck there at first, including myself.
