Default How to disable facebook, myspace and other contracts in contacts?

I've been looking and haven't found a way, maybe someone could tell me. What annoys me with the phone book on the cliq is that it list all your contacts from myspace, facebook, motoblur and all those other social networking site into your phone book- even if theres no phone number associated with those contacts.

Is there a way to change the settings of the phone book just to list my gmail phone number and addresses without having to sort the contacts every time? Also is there a way to delete contacts on your phone without having to delete them on myspace, facebook, etc?

Open the Contacts. At the top tap Contacts:All contacts and choose Google.

Deleting I haven't tried.

I noticed that option, but is there a way for it to always sort your phone book just to your google contacts instead of having to filter the contacts each time?

I've only had to set mine to Google once. It's stayed that way ever since.

I hope that it's a simple fix.. I have over 10k friends on myspace and about 5k on FB.. I'm looking forward to using both on the phone but I don't want them mixed in with people I actually know.

Otherwise I'll have to return this phone.

Goyk,

Just add the people you acutally know to one of the other contact list available and they will be seperate than facebook or myspace.

Will the phone run slower as a result? Or the contacts application?
I have about 1600 contacts in my iPhone now and it drags. I hate it.

The only simple fix I can think of is don't add your facebook, twitter or myspace and just download the separate apps for these. You won't have any other contacts that way.

You can link your contacts so one contact will have his twitter, myspace, facebook and email under one contact. I just did it today. The instructions to do this are in the manual.

I created a .csv file from all the contacts on my SIM card. I uploaded those to google under a new label. Once I went into contacts, I selected the option to display that label only. Works like a dream.

Good idea..
I got my cliq a couple of days ago and I love it. I imported all my iphone contacts through the Motoblur site and they all showed up instantly.

Since I have approx. 5k friends on Facebook, those contacts didn't load into the phone. However my Myspace contacts did. But then I just removed my Myspace account because Myspace is totally useless.

One feature I like a lot is how the phone automatically links contacts from Motoblur with my Gmail contacts along with the display picture.

I'm not sure if you still have a problem, but I did two things and I'm not sure which one got rid of my facebook contacts.

1. Using the "Android System Info" application that I got off of the market, I went into applications and then hit the manage button, then I hit the clear button to clear all data for facebook. Then I went to settings > Accont & sync and selected facebook and deselected the sync contacts.
2. next I removed my facebook account and then re-added it.
