Default Accessing SD Card

Hi guys,

I have a quick question about my sd card. I plug in my cable to my laptop and for some reason the card does not come up. I put it in usb mode and no go.

The last time I did this was about 3 weeks ago and as soon as I plugged my phone into the laptop, it immediately came up as drive G:

this time when i plug it in, it tries to open and the drive G i see the folders then it says

Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (G

I don't understand why this is happening. I just want to be able to plug my phone into any computer and access it for drag and drop. Can i do this? Or do i have to have a special program for this?

Thanks

When you plug in your phone to a laptop you have to slide down on the screen from the top to the bottom to access the notifications area. There you have to switch to mount sd card and it should pop up on your laptop in a few seconds.

thanks for the reply,

but on the cliq, there isn't a mount option when you slide down from notifications, only "usb drive" and "charge only"

Even if i select usb drive, still no go...

do i have to install any drivers or anything?

I don't believe you have to install any drivers. One thing I should mention though is that everytime I reflashed a new rom and plugged the phone to my computer it re-did the whole 'installing drivers for device' thing... Did you update to another rom lately? Anyway, maybe try another pc/mac or use a cardreader, this will most definately work.

No new rom. waiting for the upgrade, but nothing yet.

by card reader do you mean just pull the sd card out and put it in the adaptor and plug it into the computer?

That is definately my last, very last option, which is what i think is gonna happen.

The thing that gets me is that if it never worked by plugging the phone in, no problem,

but it has worked in the past...thats how i transfer all my photos and music to and from my phone.

Any other suggestions guys..

INPUTS: connect Phone to PC using the USB Data Cable. Access ur phone, Tap on Menu go to Notifications, under Notifications, go to USB Connected, Under USB Connected, Tap on Mount. Then go to ur PC, check if your PC was able to detect the phone. Usually it will show under My Computer Removable Disk. It will not ask for a disk as long you have tap on Mount. Then you can transfer files, basically that's it.

I had a quick question about the SD card while using the Cliq...

is there anyway to see what you have saved on your SD card while using the cliq with out taking out the SD card and using it in an adaptor or pluging the phone by USB into the computer?

when i go to settings, SD card & storgage it just gives me the total space on the car, the availible space, unmout the card, and format the card...

is there anyways to see what is on my SD card?
