Default Attn: Notebook hardware hackers - question

Does anyone know how (or if there's a kit) to add back lighting to a notebook keyboard? I have a Dell N7110 and would love to be able to add red LED backlighting to the keyboard.

Why red? Because your eyes don't have to adjust.

I currently have it disassembled to replace the HDD and the the main issue I see is power. If you've ever seen the inside of a notebook, you should be familiar with the types of molex connections they have; they're hella small.

I've googled for a kit or how-to in the past but wasn't successful in finding anything useful.

Thanks.

Default

most likely option would be to solder the led directly to apower source on the main board

i.e. to the power port
