I've been looking for a laptop without a CD drive, but with a HDD and a dedicated GFX card, I'm not talking about these UltraBooks and MacBook Air's, I want a fully featured laptop without a CD drive, if anyone can find me one of these I will be very grateful I've tried for so long to find one but can't maybe they don't exist.

Considering the cost of the optical drive adds like $3.50 to the overall price.... I'd suggest you buy something with a big slow main HD (ignore the CD/DVD drive), and buy a SSD separately, then pop out the optical drive and pop in the SSD. Re-install OS from USB, and voila - awesome laptop.

Well that's what I hope to do to my MBP someday
