You can save it just by copying it.
Do you want to edit it or print it? That is a different story.
- Open Office (and Libre Office, IIRC) will open (and thus edit, print, save, etc) Micro$oft Office documents, to a point (disclaimer - I haven't used it in a while, and there were limitations back then, those may not exist anymore, both of these suites may be 100% interoperable with M$ Office docs, I just don't know or sure).
- Google Docs will allow you to upload, convert, edit, and save and print Micro$oft Office, and directly from your web browser, no less.
- Micro$oft has their own (paid) web app called Office 365 which accomplishes the same thing as Google Docs.
- Micro$oft has Viewers and converters available that will allow you to read and print Office documents (but not edit).
There are probably others, as well, like SkyDrive, but I'm not sure if you can edit docs directly in there or not.
