Default Bluetooth Problem

I have an acer aspire happy 2 netbook and while I can use tethering via my windows bluetooth I can't get bluetooth to work on the android operating system but it works perfectly every time on windows? I have tried all the obvious i.e. making it visible, powered up both units from the mains, nothing works, just keeps saying there was a problem pairing to the device. Any ideas Guys?

Hi everybody,

Many many thanks to sharing your Special gift online information, I am highly appreciated, As many others, I too have the intermittent Bluetooth problem. I have noticed that some have contacted Dell directly and have not received a resolution to the problem. I should take in seeking a resolution. Has anyone asked for a replacement unit or refund?

Nice to meet you

OK, I'm not sure I'm following you here.

The netbook is running Windows, and BT is working on Windows, but you're trying to tether via BT and your phone cannot connect via BT at all to your netbook, or just cannot tether?

Is the problem because android cannot do peer-to-peer or ad-hoc networking(?)
