Default Dogpile search engine

Does anyone use this search engine and if so, is it better than goggle? and which would be better for academic research?

thanks in advance.

If it's medical related research, pubmed is a good site

I use duckduckgo. Far better than google IMO. they don't track you, or 'bubble' you.

Check 'em out. Although you can use google for scholar type of searches. For example, my schools would always accept anything '.edu' as a valid source.

So within google use the advanced parameters and do something like

"inurl:.edu TECH TOPIC"
