Default Google Chrome The worst browser In History...

Ok, so I liked firefox but because I own a lot of google stuff why not switch to chrome... Now my browser apps to clean history wont clean history so I went to settings did it myself. Didnt work..It delete a few stuff but now all of it... The feature "delete past hour" does not work anymore...

I try to uninstall chrome but I have a lot of favorites and bookmarks and stuff and it doesn't have a feature of keeping it...

If im doing something wrong please let me know ...I dont think Google is ready with this browser yet.. theres a lot of bugs and stuff i can point out but too long...

Chrome's settings can be something else. The one I hate is turn off images on the fly.
Opera does that natively, FF with an extension. Chrome - images are on or off at all times.

Can you export your bookmarks as HTML? Most other browsers can.

If you want delete everything, make sure all the check boxes are marked, and in the drop down box instead of "Past hour" select "Beginning of time". That will wipe all the history.

My beef with Chrome was its lack of master password protection. They took way too long to get master passwords added to it...

Then don't use their password storage. IMO it's silly to store your passwords in any browser. Use something like KeePass instead.

I changed my post cause they use Master Passwords now (had a very outdated version). But I've had stored passwords on firefox for years with no issues. I'm reluctant to use yet another program just for passwords. I also don't store critical passwords like email or bank accounts, just forum accounts :P

IDK, I'm just the guy who always preaches "don't keep it all in one spot".

I like Chrome well enough and all, but man does it eat up some resources when just opening a couple of tabs. Then again, so does my Firefox daily profile, but at least that has like 30 add-ons installed for productivity and easy of use....

As for Chrome not deleting history, well, using Chrome itself to delete the history is always the better option than using third party cleaners, but if you really want to use a 3rd party cleaner, I recommend (above and beyond all others I've used thus far) BleachBit - Clean Disk Space, Maintain Privacy.

Also, re: passwords externally - IOWA has a great point. I recently (not even 8 months ago) lost ALL THREE of my HDs due to a very inopportune lightning strike that arced across the batteries in my APC Smart-UPS 1500 to my PSU and from there to my HDs. My 80 GB Intel SSD, and my pair of Seagate 32MB Cache 7200rpm 500GB Barracudas. I lost a lot of my initial research data from my master's thesis b/c I had previously broken my USB Key drive and resorted to keeping it all on hte data drive.

However, I did not lose my Passwords (at current count, 471 items, including things like Software install keys for various software I own / have installed on client computers, client admin passwords, My router PWs, etc.) because I always kept a spare handy both online as well as on my Motorola Droid (this actually occurred before I bought my BIONIC)....

I wholeheartedly support the use of KeePass, in particular since the desktop v2 (professional) app support synchronization wit external files - so I can sync back and fort between my phone and my computer regularly....
