Default Windows 8?

When it was first released I installed windows 8 CP and was not very impressed but I wonder what you all think of how Windows 8 will do and do you think that more people will choose Android for there future OS.

I do not like the GUI. It looks cheap and it lacks nuance. I know it can be changed, I think I know, rather.

Not sure there is a compelling reason to upgrade, beyond some deeply buried technical reason only a few geeks care about.

I can be just as productive running a 486 and DR-DOS.

I am seriously thinking about getting a Microsoft Surface. I will go play with it in the store after it is released and see what I think about it.

I will either be getting that or hopefully a 10' Nexus will be released that I can consider.

I am going to give it a try I am told you can drop the metro ui for start button in the official release. The most compelling thing for me is the fact it uses fewer system resources. Less bloat is always a good thing

I’d appreciate it if you or someone here could find a link to confirm that. That’s a crucial point for me too, because otherwise

Googled that, all I could find is third-party workarounds, nothing from MS.
