Replacing laptop charging port.
So my sister-in-law took her laptop (HP Pavilion dv4-1435dx) to some computer store to get it checked out. It wasn't charging correctly. She told me that they said the "power charger in the computer is shot". I take that to mean the charging port (I could be assuming wrong)?
Do any of you know how easy it is to fix? I have some semi-decent soldering skills, and know my way around computers (I just have never messed with this). I could try to see about an external battery charger and another battery, but that seems like a real pain. If the charging port is bad, how hard would it be to get the part?
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
