Default Replacing laptop charging port.

So my sister-in-law took her laptop (HP Pavilion dv4-1435dx) to some computer store to get it checked out. It wasn't charging correctly. She told me that they said the "power charger in the computer is shot". I take that to mean the charging port (I could be assuming wrong)?

Do any of you know how easy it is to fix? I have some semi-decent soldering skills, and know my way around computers (I just have never messed with this). I could try to see about an external battery charger and another battery, but that seems like a real pain. If the charging port is bad, how hard would it be to get the part?

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Looks like it may be replaceable without any soldering. I would start by cracking open her laptop and see what you're looking at in there.

I always find it easier to find the correct part if I am very familiar with the part.
