Default Couple issues

Ok so some of you may remember that I had just finished my new pc last month. It is running almost perfect, but there is two things that I have noticed, both annoyances.

First: When I put my pc into sleep mode and wake it up, my wireless adapter needs to be unplugged and plugged in again to work.
I don't have a way to get a cable all the way up to my room so I am forced to use wifi for now..

Second: The only game I am having problems with.. Minecraft.. I will start the game up and it will run perfect for about 10 minutes, then fps drops in the range of 1-3.
And I can play all my other games in 1080 resolution with max settings for hours and see absolutely no drop in fps or lag.

My specs are:
intel i7 3.5ghz
16 GB Ram
256GB SSD
1TB HDD
EVGA 560 TI (480 cores)

Can anyone help with either issue?
Thanks!

Hard to help without slightly more information. Are there any compatibility issues with the GPU & Minecraft (perhaps a patch was pushed out that broke something)?

I would suggest downloading Minecraft again, and perhaps reinstalling Java, i have had this issue before and a simple reinstall of Java fixed the issue...

Also see if you are running 32 bit Java instead of 64 bit...this could also cause the issue.

For the USB WiFi adapter, disable Windows' ability to put the device to sleep to save power.
