Default Ota auto update for all zv8 to zv9
If you did not update to zv9 yet, you will be automatically updated, no matter what.

MetroPCS is pulling the trigger!

NO WIFI TETHERING!!!

HI, how are you by freezing or removing the "MobileUpdateClient.apk" you can stop the ota update.

it auto updated itself, I didn't do that

now I can't use wifi tethering, only USB use PdaNet

I didn't think you could, I'm still trying to figure out where the auto update is coming from. I remember on the Ascend you had to d/l the update from metro app store and install it manually.

on vz8 you can use wifi tethering without root

on vz9 you can not use wifi tethering, but you can use USB tethering use PdaNet
