just out of curiosity,
how does this compare to pg's black plague? i just brought my connect back to stock an hour ago due to bugs on top of bugs. i had black plague for a very long time and loved it, something i did corrupted my phone a while ago and it was getting worse and worse. but so long as im back to stock i was hoping for an upgrade. is this better? or would i be better off with black plague or something else? any and all input is greatly appreciated. thanks alot to everyone on here for all you do.
black plague broken out and number2 are excellent roms maybe it was an app that you installed that created the problem but i think any of those roms would be a good choice even going back to BP is a great choice one thing is for sure i'll never go back to stock.

You don't need to have 4g connection it's just recommended that you you leave it on when flashing to avoid losing it on your next bootup. I think it was a problem with older roms and was only included on the side of caution.

Done?
Hi all, just wondering if anyone is still using this rom? Is there going to be anymore updates or is this rom done? I was thinking about trying it out this is the only one that I have not tried yet all the other roms give me ghost reboots about 3 to 4 a day.... So tired of it.

Thanks.
If you are having random reboots with all of the other ROMs you'll have the same problem with this one too, hate to say.... You may wanna flush your phone, check and make sure your SD card and battery are OK, etc.
This BOC ROM is featherweight, peppy and works great IMO, it just has a couple of small issues like the menu text being unreadable if you're outside, screen garble while charging battery with phone off and Blitzkrieg kernel sometimes has problems retaining O/C settings. Works great as a daily runner despite the little things. If you know how to theme, you could easily fix the menu text issue. I don't know how to do that kinda stuff.
You can also flash the PG's Plague kernel, or even Ldrifta's #2 ZVA speed kernel to eliminate the O/C issues. You know what? If you don't really care about overclocking, the Blitzkrieg kernel comes set @ 1.5 GHz and runs great without even touching it.
If I were you, I'd use the unbrick guide to restore fresh ZVA to your phone, re-root+CWM, use CWM to do a data wipe, and THEN flash BOC. Give it a shot, I feel it's the fastest ROM next to Plague, yet easy on the battery

hey, yea man I have done this " If I were you, I'd use the unbrick guide to restore fresh ZVA to your phone, re-root+CWM, use CWM to do a data wipe, and THEN" I have flashed 3 out of 4 of the. Roms for this phone but it always goes back to ghost reboots.... It's insane, I thought these were smartphones? Hehe lol!

How to change?
Hey guys, well I have installed this last available working rom to see how it works on my LG Connect, all the other current roms make my phone go crazy and makes it reboot constantly but I see a major problem with this rom, the small text is way way too dark (see pic) how can I lighten that part of the text so that I can read it? As it is right now I can hardly read or see it. Can someone make me a .zip file where it will lighten that text up about 50%? It would be so, so great if someone could fix this for me!
Device(s): Lg connect rooted #2 rom

Rom v2 made my phone crash too much, I had to try something else and this ROM was the only one that I haven't tried yet so far it seems to be working way better than any others...
Ya I'm waiting on CM10 to be final before I switch to it. I use data alot away from the house.
I don't think the author of this rom updates this anymore. I havent seen an update for a long long while. While it is still a good rom even with the issues with it, both PGs Black Plague Rom, and Idrifta's Number Two both build upon what broken out was, and fixed a lot of the issues that were in this rom.
Although if MTMichealson comes back and updates this randomly, I would definatly check it out.

vv3
This has probably been asked before but is the developer of this ROM or any of the other roms thinking about making it work with the vv3 baseband sw version? I really loved this ROM (and the others) but I had to get a replacement phone yesterday and it came with vv4. I downgraded it to vv3 and I finally got it rooted but now I can't use any of the current roms and just wondering if it's over for this phone or if anyone has something they are working on. BTW vv3 seems to be a ton better than the zva sw version. Way better battery and way better signal/data. Thanks a ton guys and devs!
