Ever try the "Color Flashlight" apk? That one was really good I thought.... It uses the screen as the "flashlight" on full brightness though. No LED based flashlight.

Make a Nandroid of punisher where you are at.
Then Go to my Thread: I need a Volunteer who wants to go back COMPLETELY STOCK
and make your phone stock.
Take the OTA updates. Then your phone will report ZVC
After all that then Wipe everything in AmonRa dalvik, cache Data factory reset, Wipe ext
Now reload the Nandroid from punisher and Voila
you have Punisher with a corectly reporting ZVC.

I havent flashed it yet...i was commenting on dvanlinton's post...if I recall correctly though, he was using a v8 rom before he flashed to this. I am currently running zvc with dres's kernel and jit...thinking about trying this rom when i get home

oh.. either way its still fast.. and runs more smother then any other rom.. so im not worried to much about it.. but im most deff going to use that zip when froyo comes out.. thanks..

I meant I thought you were running a zv8 rom before you flashed to this, and from what swc said, that is why it reports zv8 after the flash...either way its apprently zvc, just whether it's reported correctly or not is decided by the previous rom. I can't wait to try it!
I always thought it was delay my last.....maybe the jets ruined my hearing..lol I notice it says overclocking..how do I make this work on this rom?
Download the market app called SetCPU ($1.99 but worth every penny).
This will allow you to overclock, just open up the app and move the slider. Move it up one level at a time though as some phones cannot overclock as high as others.

Well Then your good to go.
When you flash this Rom.... You will report Correct and be at ZVC.
Quick question for you guys. I am going to back up a few apps with TI backup and its mostly all my angry birds work does it mess anything up restoring app and data instead of app? I just restore app I lose all the hours of angry birds. I just wanted to check. Thanks guys!

You can have problems from restoring data, but it doesn't always happen. Restore the app+data, if you have problems then uninstall and just reinstall the app only without data.

Death2all, thanks for all that you have done to make our Ally's badass. Punisher rocks and is my new fave (no offense trident or drellissdee). I loaded it last night and have had no worries. Left you a small donation to your ed fund!

but it is decided by either taking the OTA updates Or by taking Deaths zips. One reports correct the other doesnt. Either way it doesnt matter because both have it.
Thanks death, your not at fault, I love the ROM, just to state, the keyboard LAG is only in browser while typing in website text fields, areas and comment fields. I have narrowed it to that.
To all you guys who are sad your phone states v8 still... Mine still reports v6, so what lol!
I'm getting the best reception I have ever gotten with this phone though, and I still have the old radio, little scared to try the new one. Theres a saying. If it ain't broke, better not try to fix it. Theres also Murphy's Law....baaahhhhh Now I'm jinxed...save me!

I'm probably going to give it a try tonight after work. Is it really that much faster and smoother than zvc? I had velocity .3 on mine, and it seemed to lag at times, while zvc seems a bit faster. No offense to Trident, just what I found on my phone. Using zvc with apps2sd from darktremorz also has me at 135mb memory, where with velocity(with the as2d set up per instructions, and showing properly in terminal) I only had 85. BTW, I already have the new radio, and this DOES NOT overwrite it, correct? I don't want to flash it and brick my phone!

From what death says the ROM does NOT include the radio, so it wouldnt be the same and it would over write.
Just make sure you only flash the new radio but ONCE!
Idk, when I flashed Punisher the baseband version was the same as the new one.
Death stated that originally the rom did have the new baseband, but he decided to remove it in case somebody wanted to update or keep the old.

I believe when its said only once...I think its meant once..EVER not per ROM flash, Like if you installed the baseband for Velocity 0.3, then switch to Punisher, you still have the new radio. Correct me death if I have this wrong, but this is what Im getting from all of this!!!!!!
Very nice rom. Loaded it a couple of hours ago and so far it has been very fast, smooth, and stable. Reloaded all my apps with titanium backup no problem. The only thing I would add to it is a terminal emulator.

Tried that. It actually FCs on launch. Sorry. It MUST BE INSTALLED FROM MARKET. Otherwise it would be in there.

I flashed this ROM this morning, and I have to say it's awesome! Smooth, stable, and fast! The layout is great, and it has a great look. You have outdone yourself death, this one is a winner. Quick question: I flashed the new radio.img when I was using Velocity v.3, does that mean I have to reflash it for Punisher? I know its been covered in this thread, but I just feel I need definite clarification on this, since it should only be flashed once. Also, in deaths description of the ROM at the beginning of the thread, he said speed tweaks, what exactly are these tweaks? Other than those two questions, I am MORE than satisfied with this ROM, its by far the best one available for the Ally.
just flashed this a few hours ago... very pleased. gotta love the fact that there are multiple ROMs available for this phone, the competition benefits us all in the sense that each developer is pushed even further to release a great build. props to Death and all of our other developers for making this community great, i'm looking forward to future releases of all of our ROM's!!!
