I already had SPB Shell. It runs great on this ROM.
Just find fonts you want and put them in /system/font
there is no script

Very nice rom. Great notification bar/icons. Like the changed lock screen sliders.
May I ask what the default system font is? Really like it.
Black messaging app, sweet!
Love it so far, thanks!
It says Ads are off by default but I just reinstalled my usual horoscope app and the ad at the bottom is there. How do I switch this off? I went into scripts, typed in ads, it told me b or s for block or show, I type in b and it says "not found".

Question about the battery saving script because i'm confused about what the options do/mean. Is it best to do nothing with the script to have the best battery life? And if not, which option in the script is the best option for longer battery life in case I find i'm having trouble with battery life?

Someone may correct me if i'm wrong.... the ad-block script blocks applications from sending requests to ad servers. There are some apps thos whose ads are built in, thwarting the ad block script. I occasionally get these myself. I either tolerate the occasional ad, remove the app, or replace with one that uses ad servers. I hope that this was helpful (and that i'm correct).

as far as scripts go is the only way to OC through the batt-cfg script? i have noticed that this ROM saves a lot of battery life. fully charged my phone before bed & 6 hrs later i was still running at 97%.
EDIT: Unmounting the SD card allowed both to install.
EDIT2: Used Root Explorer to find smdl2tmp1 and rename it smdl2tmp12 temporarily. It then sort of allowed me to install the apk. It hung up during the installation, as in never said the install completed, but when I backed out of that, it was in fact installed and working.

There is an app included in the ROM that allows you to config the cpu. It has a very non-descript name.
+++
It's called no-frills cpu control

You have to go into terminal emulator, type "su" to give super user permission, then type "ads -b"(block) or "ads -s"(show)..dont include the quotes.lol
So after a day of using this, I like it. I was always a fan of Punisher over Veloicty (before Froyo came out), so I was pretty psyched to see this ROM. Its great over all. Its not a huge difference in performance over Veloicty for me. I've had some minor problems installing apps (noted above), but I don't know if that is this ROM, or something left over from Veloicty (I wiped as instructed though). This ROM seems to be a little better on battery, lighter on memory usage (unless that's in my head), and a little quicker on GPS. I can't really quantify this except to say its personal preference, but I feel like Velocity 1.0 was a tiny bit more refined... not much... just that it feels like a ROM that could have been shipped with the phone, and Frusnisher feels like a good custom ROM. Both are outstanding and I'm very appreciative of the options and effort. For now I will be sticking with Frunisher and I'm pleased. If you're on the fence about switching, I'd say give it a shot. Its well worth the time.

Flashed on sunday at soon as its release. All i have to say is wow. Very well built D2A. I had a couple FCs but they have went away. I cant quite overclock as high as i did on V1.0 but no biggie to me. Its very smooth. Battery life seems to be about par with what i got out of V1.0. The GPS fix whatever you did seems to be vastly better. It locked onto my location a lot faster than it ever has before. Very good job D2A. Thanks Again and I cant wait to see what the new and improved Velocity team will cook up next.

I have a general question for everyone that's flashed to Frunisher 1.0 and previously had Velocity 1.0: Could someone go into a comparison between the two ROMs for me??
I had no problem flashing over to Velocity 1.0 a few months back. My main concern is not liking it after I flash over or having something happen to where I brick my phone -- I'm too afraid of that happening. I guess I'm sort of looking for the pros and cons of each ROM and see which one would be better for me (and possibly other people that have this question).
Yes, I have read therealciviczc and Scrillex. I'm just looking for some more comparisons/likes/dislikes.

I have flashed them both and I love them both, equally. They both work well and they both look great. I don't overclock or anything, so I can't compare that. My battery life is about the same with each. I have no problems with either as far as functionality. There are cosmetic things I like about Frunisher (like the transparent notification panel) and cosmetic things I like about Velocity (theme scripts, etc.).
It's really a matter of preference. You won't know how you like it until you try it. I was nervous about bricking my phone, too, but I was more excited to try it than I was scared. I will flash the next ROM as well. I'll bet it is going to be the best of both worlds.

I personally like Funisher a little bit more. I think it is faster than velocity and the theme is more to my style also i have more internal memory and battery life is better i think but I cant wait for the new velocity cause d2a is now on there

My unprofessional opinion is a bad sd card. Failure to create should not occur under normal circumstances.

My advice is just nandroid bkup and do it, u know u want to.

Did you wipe android-secure when flashing? Thats trying to install to the sdcard. That explains why you had to unmount the sd from the pc. If that still caused issues, id try backing up what is on the sd card, run a chkdsk X: /F /R and let it scan the sd card for issues, if none, to be safe format it and put everything back on it. or maybe your sd card is full.

That's what I'm kinda of looking for. I'm a minimal layout kinda guy, but I don't care much for the grudge look from Frunisher. But if it offers a better battery life than Velocity, I'll be flashing over in no time!! That's pretty much my only problem with this phone, the battery life (well, and the fact it freezes up too much due to lack of internal memory). I do OC, so I'm curious...

Frunisher and Velocity have amazing devs working on both ROMs. So, whether I pick one or the other, I give credit to them for putting all of their hard work into this. I might be flashing over to Frunisher and see how it all runs compared to Velocity when I get some free time....
so i just flashed this rom earlier today and since then i have had no gmail. just force close messages. i dont know what to do about it and i use my gmail all the time. any ideas? if i cant get it figured out i will have to change roms. and i really wanted to give myself time to check this one all out.
is there an app or a way to make my RAM more stable? it fluctuations from the teens to the thirties percentiles & when it's in the teens my whole phone moves very slow. bringing back nightmares of my blackberry storm quick pull 5 time a day routine

did you wipe everything first? go to the market & install gmail from there?
Does anyone have any issues using Android Notifier using this ROM? I don't receive any notifications when the screen is off, but if the screen is on I have no problems.

I had no issue with the bootsnd or bootani script, the only issue I have is restoring backups with the included titanium backup... every time I run the batch restore it restores one app and goes back to the main titanium menu with the the word "null" at the top.
I only had 20 or so apps backed up so I just did it one by one. Other than that I love the dark sms, backgrounds, icons, and just about everything else. Great work once again, much appreciated.

Amazing ROM d2a, no complaints at all! Everything seems to run so much faster and more stable than Velocity (not knocking that rom at all). Thanks so much for not leaving the Ally. Mad props brother can't thank you enough.

I have decided to change roms but I've got a problem. It seems that frunisher has decided I can't. Lol. Kidding but seriously I got everything set up the new rom is on my sd card I did a nandroid backup I whipe cache ans delvik and the data and then I flashed the new fom. Since rebooting my phone I am now stuck inn a bootloo where all it has is the green frunisher boot skull the says android then back to the skull. And it now says my memory card is full and I know its not because I cleaned it up right before I did anything. I have nothing against frunisherits just not my style. So can someone tell me what to do quick fast and in a hurry please!
And the bootsplash is the skull you see on power on. not the animation.
Also, you could just go into build.prop and set ro.config.play.bootsound to 0 rather than 1 or just go into /system/media and rename/delete android_audio.mp3
Hey d2a,
I would just like to congratulate you on this ROM. It's ******* glorious.
Now, I'm having some trouble following these steps. I've navigated to the System folder in a File Manager and it won't allow me to rename/delete the MP3.
I've also navigated to the build.prop file in a Text Editor and it gives me an Access Denied error when I try to set the parameter to 0.
How exactly do I go about changing either one of these?

Can you get into recovery? if you can then try and wipe everything again and reflash. if that doesnt work try going back to your nandroid
