You need to install the LG Mobile Updater from lg's site. just choose the lg fathom or something if it asks you to select your phone. thats why you cant see anything.

After flashing back to stock, I got stuck on the Android logo loop for 40+ minutes.
Mine does too.....and when I hold vol up+home+end I get a quick glimpse of the android with a box like it's updating, then goes back to the perpetual boot loop. I called Verizon and they are sending me a new phone.
What's odd is I rooted it and about 2-3 weeks ago I got an update from the LG updater which broke my root, reinstalled stock rom, and updated it getting it ready for 2.2. Last night I got the message saying my phone was ready, and when I connected it to my pc and started LG updater, everything was going fine so I went to sleep and woke up to a perpetual boot cycle.
People @ verizon store were absolutely no help @ all!!!!
Step 4: Rename the cab file to VS740ZV6_01.cab (If you do not see the .cab extension DO NOT add it. Also You may not have to rename it if you downloaded it as the same name.)
Step 5: Extract the zip file's contents to this folder and connect USB cable to phone.
I keep getting an error message on the last step for flashing v6... any help please?
Will this still work if you already have the stock recovery flashed? I ask because I notice that your instructions say to flash the v6 ROM and THEN flash the stock recovery... should I go back to clockwork mod?
