I wish I had seen this 7 days ago, but I with 2 days left on my 30 day trial for my X10; I called today and I'm sending it back. Now I just hope this price on the Streak sticks until I can get my contract reset with At&t.
I liked the X10, but I so much wanted more space, but couldn't afford or justify the overpriced Streak. Now it is in my price range and I am so ready to get it.
It is going to be painful to go back to my BB Curve after having an Android device for 29 days, but that is the price I will have to pay to upgrade by the rules
I was in a store yesterday around closing time and they still had the end display with the $99 price for both the black and while devices in Florida at the store at I-4 and Hwy 27 west of Disney.
UPS delivered my X10 back to Amazon at 9am this morning. I called them around 1pm and asked how long it would take to send at&t the information so my contract date would be reset; he said a few days Then I got an email that said it could be weeks
Well, tonight at about 11pm, I decided to give it a try and order a Streak on-line with Best Buy for $99. I got all the way through the process and the last page finally asked for my phone number. It said I am not eligible until July 2012.
I was hoping they would process it before Christmas, I figure returns after Christmas will be nuts, but I can understand they may not even be processing returns now, so they can get everything they can out the door before Santa flies
It took Amazon 24 hours to get my credit processed and contact At&t to reinstate my account. It then took at&t 2 hours to reverse the transaction, refund my activation fees and reset my contract date. It took me 5 minutes to get my order to process for my new Dell Streak at Best Buy.
I want to send out thanks to Amazon & At&t for processing the refund so quickly
I will have a new toy under the tree for Christmas
I have my Streak, everything set up, AppBrain installed and downloaded all my apps I had on the X10. I think it is all good, except I know there was an option on the X10 in the settings to only do Updates on Wifi, but I can't seem to find it now.
I got the battery charged 100% while loading everything up, I will charge it up over night and then see how long it takes to drain the charge.
I would like a sleeve type case, like I had with the X10, haven't found one I like yet.
$99 at BestBuy 12/12/10 till ?
