When I ordered it I thought it said it would ship by the 10th and usually Dell ships sooner then estimated but in looking at my order it says estimated delivery is the 18th even though I had 2 daay shipping. Has anyone's shipped and if not what's your estimated delivery?

Sure hope that is an no-contract price, as I got my Dell Streak from Best Buy for $99 on the 23rd. It was a Zoo there, but I picked it up an hour after I ordered it online.

That's the price for the unlocked streak with Froyo. Still cheaper then the best buy deal once you do the math. $99 + $325 ETF + $36 activation = $461 plus you still have to wait for froyo to release and still wont have wifi tethering without root and it's locked to att.

Mine just got change to Jan 19, and I order my Dell Streak on Dec 22, I hope it will ship soon???

Mine is still showing the 18th. What date did yours say before it changed to the 19th?

I guess if I was on any other network than at&t or if I wanted to terminate, that might matter.

By my math $99 < $399 anyday and I had ZERO activation fees. Froyo is suppose to be release this week, so I will have waited 2 weeks, no big deal. I have rooted my device, so I can update if I want, but will wait for the official release until my 30-day trial period is over before changing the ROM.

Is the device Dell is selling truely "Unlocked" or just without contract? In the beginning there was allot of confusion over the terms, they are NOT the same thing. A US Dell Streak is only useful on At&t bands and partially useful on T-Mobil, although I am at the point that I could almost go with a Wifi only version.

No the Dell is truly unlock, and I bought mine for $399.00 so I can use T-mobile or ATT, and when I travel overseas I can purchase a prepaid sim and use it as well, I also get with out extra charge the ability to use my unlock streak as a WIFI host spot doubt ATT will allow this and if they due ATT will charge for it. You can side load apps with out rooting you phone or using software. I think when Ginger bread gets released to the Streak the unlock streaks will get them before ATT lock phones. If you can afford to buy the unlock version of the streak I think in the long run this will same you time and money.

I don't know if there is a waiting period, but every device I have had in the past, At&t has unlocked for free without any hassle. I normally unlocked it to sell it when it was time to move on to the next device.

Sounds good, in my case I dont want any ATT restrictions and dont want to be lock into a 2 year contract, good luck with your phone; this is my second streak and for now I think its the best phone out there.
