My Top 10 Favorite Free Android Apps for Dell Streak 5
Yahoo Mail App – allows me to check my email and receive notifications when new mail arrives.
Twitter App – I can tweet, retweet, and send messages and receive notifications whenever new mentions or messages appear.
Pandora – I don’t know how I managed to tolerate radio all those years before Pandora! The more I listen to and tailor my stations, the better the music gets! (Uses a lot of data, so be sure you’ve got a nearby Wifi connection if you want to really enjoy this one.)
Google Navigation – Who needs a separate GPS anymore when you’ve got a Dell Streak? This amazing app that comes already installed on Dell Streak 5, gives turn by turn instructions to just about anywhere. No fumbling around with the keypad necessary, you can speak your destination to keep your hands free.
Facebook App – Allows me to quickly access my FB account.
Angry Birds Rio – Who can resist a game this fun? I don’t even know why it’s so fun, but it is. I think it’s a great game to help people continue to develop their finger dexterity for touch screens.
Paradise Island – Another game that I spend way too much time on… But it also develops touch screen dexterity.
Aquarium Free Live Wallpaper App – It looks like a real salt water aquarium! And you can even feed the fish – I love it!
Advanced Task Killer – Keeps your Dell Streak running smoothly. It automatically kills running apps that are no longer being used. Also allows you to do this manually.
Fring – Allows you to use your front or rear camera to place video calls to other mobiles with video capabilities.
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends.
By means of battery consumption -->
The first 2 months were great for me, playing angry birds for a pretty long time but only needed to charge at nights.. now it's been 6-7 months the battery doesn't allow me much time I will get 2 new batteries --> 1 original spare and 1 with the high capacity which will make this lovely device bigger, heavier but last longer..
So the ones with higher capacity can be awesome for long trips.. Not tried yet but will do soon..

Bonus: Epic 3D Visualizer Wallpaper--> Visual display in time with the music
I have never gotten used to swipe, I guess I am too old. Now, for Exchange Server, I use ExMail and it works great. I tried k9, but it would just not work with Exchage, at least I could not make it work.
I had previously used QuickPic, and I reinstalled it today, and they have improved a lot! I really like it.
I decided to write my own list of favorite Android apps, it is here: My Favorite Free Android Apps « Juan Riano
