Default brand new streak resets, boot loops dell logo ?

Hello all

i'm new to the forums and could really use you's guys expertise as I feel like my head is going to explode : sad panda :

I bought this streak maybe a week back, it came 'as new', everything in the box sealed in the plastic wrappings, screen protector etc., and was really looking forward to using it : happy panda :

Put in the sim card, set it up, go to android market, then the 3 home keys flashed about 3 or 4 times, then rebooted and got stuck at the dell logo, and was continuously rebooting itself and getting stuck. : very sad panda :

Tried factory reset, that managed to get it back on.......for about 10 minutes then shut off again.

I have tried various different methods I have found on the net, but am having no luck or i'm not doing something right

I tried to do the 'pkg update' but whilst doing the update it showed 'signature verification failed'. then reboot loop.

trying to configure fastboot, so I could flash it back to 1.6 (from what i've read), but can't seem to find a link to the Dell PC Suite for 2.2 anywhere, the official dell link for it is dead

so I am pretty much stuck

any help is much appreciated

UPDATE: managed to find this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dell_Streak
downloaded the stock PKG file for my specific baseband/build
update via SD card PKG.update
went all the way through, then got to the white screen and rebooted, booted into 2.2 ?

update 2: more re-boot loops : (

btw here are the streaks details lol nearly forgot

02

android 2.2

baseband: 1800-EU

kernel versions: 2.6.32.9

build number: 12821

You still have A LOT of reading to do... but for now download the recovery.img for the stock 360 ROM and also download and rename the corresponding 360 update.pkg and put it on the root of your SD card.

FLASH the 360 recovery image in fastboot and boot into recovery and take the same steps as before to flash the new uodate package

Hi, thank you for the reply, I have tried the fastboot, but it just comes up with 'waiting for usb device' or something along those lines, so I read up on manually installing the driver for it (control panel>system>device manager>android 1.0) but to no avail, i believe i need to instal the dell 2.2 pc suite in order to do the fastboot, but cannot find it anywhere, is there a working link to it that you know of ?

regards

If you were unable to find the drivers for fastboot because as I have now found out you are too lazy to do... 100 new units won't do you any good if you never figured out how to use the first nor do you even deserve to own one for that matter

First off, there is no need for a reply like that is there ? kinda rude dont ya think?, all I asked for was a little help.

Clearly unlike yourself, I work from 8 in the morning to 6 at night, 6 days a week (I am FAR from lazy), I do not have the time LIKE YOURSELF, to sit and go through EVERY FORUM THREAD, to try and find an answer.

the phone should have worked out of the box, because when you buy something new, you expect it to work no ? why should I have to spend my spare time looking on these shitty forums with shitty smart-arses like yourself telling me 'i'm too lazy' : PRICK :

Never figured out how to use it ? it would'nt stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time, so how could I possibly get some decent usage out of it ?

Don't deserve to own one ? who are you, the 'streak police'

This part was a bit harsh.

I will now be diverting as many people as i can AWAY from these forums because of you.

Ban me

As a matter of fact I work from 4 am til about almost 10 pm on the road EVERY day, I have no more days off than my clients allows me to have, which is rarely even Christmas and my daughter's birthday jackass!

Secondly, yes, that is the only way to reply because is you don't have the time to read through the forums, then NO you have NO need nor use for a smartphone, go get you one of those little bricks that is only good for a phone call and a text message if you don't have time to read you dumbass, and it doesn't take much time, IF YOU LEARN TO USE THAT SEARCH FEATURE IN THE FIRST PLACE DUMBASS

Thirdly, yeah, I definitely hope you stay away from this forum, and every other Android, iOS and Windows Phone forum there is because as I said, if you're too "busy" to learn how to maintain a smartphone you damn sure should't have one because there will ALWAYS be someone like me to go off on a dumbass like you!!

And you DON'T deserve to own the Streak or any other SMART phone because they are for SMART people that know how to find their own information, not for toddlers sitting in their baby chairs waiting for the rest of us to spoon feed them their info..

Now get really mad because I got all you can stand "busy" man, and yeah, I'm dictating this post to my tablet by voice which I learned how to do sitting in hotel rooms at night away from my family while I was out earning a living, which is more than you do with your little 10 hour a day job

oh your clearly an american, it all makes sense now.

I might work 10 hours a day, but what I earn in a day, you probably don't earn in a year.

think your all important because you can root an android phone.

This is why the majority of the world does'nt like americans, because your so far up your own arses and you think the world owes you everything.

I await your reply, 'dictated to your smartphone' because it takes a genius to do that does'nt it.

Actually I am a Costa Rican and what I earn in a year you probably don't earn in 10...

But as a matter of fact, the world owes most of it's progress to the US or rather to the Anglo way of thinking... and if you don't know what that means, then you aren't up to having this discussion...

have a good day and I hope you fix the Phone that is smarter than you are
