As in title I suppose, looking for a case that's suitable for a building construction site. I currently have a standard silicon one that attracts enough dirt & dust as it is so looking for one that can handle a bit of dirt, dust maybe a splash of water and a strong, sturdy one incase of the odd drop of the phone.
The latter aren't essential but would be nice.

I'm not really a fan of the flip ones tho but am open to all ideas.

I got the Krusell Orbit Flex for my Desire (Krusell - Products).

Very high quality and thick leather which offers lots of protection. It's a flip case, but if you work at a construction site, I think that's your best choice since it offers complete protection including the screen. You could combine it with a screen protector for when you operate the phone with grimy hands.
