Default SD card problems.....

Hi all, since last night i have been having a few issues with my SD card. When i connect to the PC i get a warning saying scan and fix (recommended) if i ignore that it just opens my card as a disk drive, no problem there. It's when i mount the SD card back to my phone that the trouble starts, not everytime, but most, i get a warning that card is in "read only mode" sometimes this is sorted with just one click of the notification, but other times it just keeps on doing it until i drop out the battery and SD card and reboot. What could be causing this, does anyone have any good knowledge on SD cards enough to explain to me what the feck is going on.

Thanks

think i've read that the format doesn't get rid of the partition, but i'd do a search just in case. i personally wouldn't even trust my own words on the matter

Format doesn't remove the partiton at all, also formatting is the best option when the sd card plays up.
