Hi, im trying to get rid of all Orange apps on my phone so i went through the guide as to : How to Flash / Debrand your Desire.

Couldnt find an answer so posted my own question

Im having a problem, done everything else right just getting error 140:BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR




Above is the error and below that is how far the installation got before the error.


Help would be greatly appreciated

You're trying to install an older version of the OS, which isn't allowed. If you want froyo you can install that directly using a goldcard.

A lot of the guides that people are still using are quite a bit out of date now unfortunately.

Hey guys thanks for the help but im still struggling to find the answer, i have found out that i have Image version:1.22.61.1 and am trying to upgrade it to 1.15.405.3 which obviously isnt going to work..

Where can i get the most up to date image version?

Hey mate, thanks but i dont want to downgrade my phone i want to update it from version:1.22.61.1 to 2.2.

trying to work out how to debrand from orange so i can get the 2.2 update :S

oh i thought yopu were on froyo already and messed something up so the bootloader wouldnt work with the flash

he is the bang up to date HTC unbranded froyo rom
