HELP!!! Phone shows no signs of life!!! Bricked!?!?
So, everything was fine.
I had flashed a new ROM a few weeks ago and it was working well.
I had been using a Samsung Galaxy s charger for a few days.
Noting else has changed recently.
This evening I went to unlock the phone. It was charging on the Samsung charger and working fine just a few hours ago.
Now the screen is off and there are no LEDs. I plug it into my HTC charger and there is no response. I have removed the battery and put it back in several times. There are still absolutely no signs of life.
The best I can hope for is that the Samsung charger has fried the battery. Is this possible?
First of all, find someone with a phone and battery the same as yours, and ask politely to swap batteries for a few moments. That will tell you if its a battery or a phone problem

Any Micro USB charger should charge any other, problems do arise when people use cheap chargers and cheap replacement batteries. I use an LG bluetooth headset charger to charge my phone overnight, its very handy as it trickle charges and takes 6 hours fo a full charge IF the phone is off!
It sounds to me like a hardware issue and nothing to do with what make of charger you have. Pop your phone on your friends charger, or try and charge via USB, see what gives.
I have the same issue. First it was the restarting issue. Gave it back to store for service and waited for 2 weeks for the phone to return. The motherboard was changed apparently, after which the phone worked great for 3 days.
Its just gone on the 3rd day evening. Wont turn on, wont charge, even the LCD wont turn on when connected to the charger, so took it back to the store, AGAIN. they did some basic trouble shooting (Different battery and charger) and told me it has to go back to the service centre. Been with out my desire for just over two weeks now.

Not happy.
This is where the mobile phone company's have been very cunning. If you pay for your phone, your contract is subject to much greater Trading Standard powers than you are than if your merely given it free, with contract.
If your phone was given to you free with a contract, your provider basically has you by the short and curlies. You had better be nice to them!
N.B. In any case, even though the customer is locked into a contract, of which the only way to end the it early is death, your service provider merely has to endevour to provide you with a service!
