That root went perfect. After that I flashed LeeDrOiD V2.3c (first v2.3b then 2.3c), also I flashed the accompanying radio with the number that matched my baseband version.
Then I used Titanium backup to restore everything, and it was perfect. Everything good.
I first tried to flash this zip file from that page; scbm_A_white_number.zip the same way I had just flashed LeeDrOiD. Nothing happened.
Then I went to The Ultimate Online Tool Kitchen ( UOT Kitchen ) which is where the Super Circle Battery guys tell you to go.
I chose Flashable zip only, and under "framework-res.apk" I chose my ROM Leedroid V2.3c. It then makes a zip file, and I tried flashing that.
That certainly did something, and when I rebooted afterwards it was stuck in endless reboot!
I can only go to the white screen and then ClockwordMOD recovery screen now. I tried doing a factory reset there, and wiping dalvik cache as well, but it just starts up Leedroid and then goes into endless Leedroid boots.
I've also tried doing a hard reset, but it still just loads up the Leedroid loader, and goes into endless boot.
1. If you flashed the radio matching your 'baseband' then all you've done is flash the same radio (radio = baseband)
2. Sounds like the framework mod has cause the boot loop. Reflash the LeeDroid 2.3c ROM and you'll be OK
That's what I thought (or hoped for), the problem is I can't get the Leedroid ROM zip on to my SD (be course I can't open it as a disc drive with my USB in the boot screen) , and it's not on there any more after I flashed it the first time.
After flashing the Leedroid ROM I did a patition of the SD card in ROM Manager, thus reformatting the SD card.
Then I move all the stuff my SD had on it before the root, back to the SD, and load up Titanium backup.
Here I had made a backup of all apps and their data + system data.
I then restore all apps plus data + system data.
My question is, how does all this interfere with the Leedroid ROM? From the first page of the Leedroid thread on xda-developers.com it says a lot of stuff that the ROM does, does any of those optimising settings get overwritten by what I'm doing?
I did have to overwrite quite a few apps while restoring from Titanium, and apps like Add-free are gone, but adds doesn't show up when I for example open up angry birds.
Best not to restore system data as it can screw things up. Did you partition your card for A2SD+ after you flashed? Normally you'd get a boot loop if you boot up an A2SD rom without the partition. Ad-free is also part of the rom so should be there.
He did also say not to restore system-data ("restore all apps with missing data"), but I did it because when I was so pose to back it up, I should click “Backup all user apps + system data”.
So what's the point of not restoring system data as well?
Now that I've done it, and it doesn't look like anything's screwed up, should I just keep it like it is, or do it again?
