Question No Data Loss When Flashing.

Hey guys, when flashing my phone I did a Nandroid backup along with a Titanium one. Then I partitioned my hard drive using ROM manager & flashed LeeDroid 2.2f A2SD. Everything worked fine and I've got more space now than I'll ever use.

I was wondering though, once I'd flashed and my phone re-booted, I didn't need to re-install any apps, app data, contacts or anything. All this stuff was still there as before, except it'd been moved with A2SD. Is this common or did I miss a step?

Were you flashing an update to a ROM or a new ROM altogether? Did you select 'Wipe Data...' when flashing the ROM?

If your flashing to a new version of the same version or the same rom, some will try and restore automatically.

You should've done a wipe before booting into the ROM the first time, then restore the backups in Titanium (not the Nandroid)

LeeDroid is often okay not wiping when coming from a stock Sense rom. Doesn't work all the time though so its usually best to wipe. For the sake of 10 minutes with Titanium and My Backup its worth it.

Boot into recovery (volume down and power button), then use volume buttons to scroll through options, power button to select. It's all self explanitory when you see the options in recovery.
