Currently running CM7.1, considering trying Mildwild out. Does the Oxygen version support force moving of all apps to SD? Things like Adobe Flash take up 12 mb if not, next to nothing on internal memory if you can shift it.

Is there a way to change lockscreens in mildwild so that it has the same lockscreen as dGB?

The cm one has

Oxygen - no. I don't think many have taken on porting of cm lockscreens as its a mammoth job. I haven't done it perfectly

There's extensive source code work involved.

Nope - never saw the need for it. I have a list of apps that I use. If I try a new rom I just go to the market and reinstall over the wifi any that do not auto update. That way I have a fresh clean rom and latest versions of all the apps. Only thing I back up to SD card are my messages.

Guess I'll have to check it out and see what it does. I only backup my sms messages - contacts and email all sync via google. Market usually restores most of my apps, but I have a list so just put the wifi on and and it's done in 20 minutes. All the games I play are on the tablet so I don't have to worry about losing them (tablet is not rooted.) Guess I just never saw the need for it. Been on my current rom for some time now.

Question for anyone using 3.2 Oxygen version of MildWild... the Apps2SD script doesn't work, is the best course of action to flash my own on? I already have an ext4 partition (which I can change to ext3) setup on my phone and all that.

I've never had to do this manually before <_< >_> Usually it's all just been included in the ROM

A2SD is included in 3.2 .. and works.
Dalvik has to be moved manually though.. but it's easy.

I must be missing something - flashed MildWild 3.2 today, but am running out of space trying to restore apps. I thought a2sd+ was built in - or do i need to flash it separately? or run a command through terminal emulator? or?

I'd only installed a couple of apps to check where they were going after flashing the Rom, and noticed from Quick System Info that they didn't go to my ext4 partition.

After searching the thread, I see that it is built in - but you need to activate it. You need to download and install 2SE from the Market. Seems a bit bonkers that there isn't an active apps to sd built in from the start, but I suppose there is a good reason!

I've got 'Mount as ext4' ticked in settings, as well as dalvik cache. Seems to work fine, and I've got 79mb free with loads of apps installed and no lags.

Rebooted after running it, and it seemed to sort it out. Don't know if the original test apps got moved to SD though - or just the ones installed after running it. You may want to start again.

The Rom does look good though - but having issues connecting to public wifi, weak wifi and also GPS. Going to try the AGPS fix from XDA and see if that sorts that out. I think I remember seeing comments on wifi in the thread as well, so that is next on the list.

I have S2E - doesn't seem to be doing its job :-(
And since I have ext3, I don't think 'Mount as ext4' would be applicable?
I guess I will have to do a wipe and start over? Yuk...

Nae luck.

Well the GPS patch seems to work -

AGPS Patch HTC Desire 3.1 & 2.2 | Tentative Support - xda-developers

Takes a while to lock on after the update, then it locked on straight away after that.

Did a full wipe and reflash. Installed S2E first. Rebooted. Still no joy. After installing 5 apps, internal memory decreased by 20m, and Ext by 10m. So it's working, just not moving enough of it all over, to allow me to reinstall everything I had on before, when running Gingervillian (which still left me with 70 m free with everything installed)

Is this because I have ext3 instead of ext4?
or is there something else I need to flash to get things moving ..

4ext recovery can convert ext3 to ext4 without a wipe. It seems to transfer the data to the fat32, does the reformat then transfers the data back again.

Feeling somewhat frustrated – went through the whole process of gaining s-off, switching recovery to 4ext, converted ext3 to ext4, installed mildwild 3.3, but still cannot reinstall all my apps, as I’m running out of room. A2sd is working, confirmed with FreeSpace. Does this mean that I cannot run mildwild on stock hboot? Is that why I am running out of space? I have ‘activated’ S2E. Is there a command I need to run in terminal ?

hi CC.
sorry to hear you are having a bad time with mild wild.
I ran both cm and ox versions with the cm7r2 hboot and had around
150mb free with approximately 50 apps

hope that helps

cheers

..and what method to utilse ext did you use Dan? And had you a custom hboot?

If I were using CM roms, I would opt for the dark tremor a2sd script (which needs cache2sd activating too)
