Battery level increasing
This is wierd, i had 18% battery left, put my phone in my pocket, got it out a few minutes later and it was 22%, put it away again and it went up to 25%! Not had that before. Its my spare battery, that isn't as good as the original one, but it is a branded htc one. It discharges loads faster than the proper one though. But see attached pic.

If you're using dGB, I put software that turns the g sensors into kinetic battery chargers

Phone calls? Theres a limit you know?
In regards to what I said about charging, its possible now. In fact Seiko unveiled the technology in 1986. A small mechanical part that generated electricity to run through a quartz. They have been making automatic quartz watches (Seiko Kinetic) ever since...
Sure we're only talking watch battery power here but think of the size of these things, nearly 30 years ago???

Quite amusing thread
The issue had me interested, though; anybody has any idea what made the battery level increase for no apparant reason? Random battery stat misread?

I haven't a clue, but it's a second battery bought off eBay when I first got the phone, sold as unbranded, came with a little black sticker on it and when I peeled it off htc was written on it, so it's possible it was from a bad batch, its a crap battery, id say it discharges twice as fast as the original one, and I've tried to callibrate it. It's just a backup. Weird though.

Were you outside when it was discharging, before you put it in your pocket? Batteries (I can't remember if modern phone ones) can be a bit poor in the cold.

Probably this is due to low signal strength. It is seen in the screenshot that phone signal is not green.

No I don't think weak signal recharges your battery
The HTC Desire is one of the latest high end phone by HTC bringing a huge 3.7" inch high quality AMOLED screen for crystal clear viewing, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on, you guessed it, Android.
