Sorry, what? Are you saying you couldn't mount the SD card on your computer so you ran a RUU?

Please ask us things you dont understand.

I assume you still have s-off. You probably dont have recovery. did you take a nandroid backup via recovery? If not your data is lost forever.

You should just be able to reflash recovery. Then you will have to flash a custom rom via recovery (read the guides and faqs first please)!!!

Yes.

Boot the phone while pressing the "back" button. You'll see a white screen with the word "fastboot" on it. Connect to a computer and the phone will now say "fastboot USB". When it's in that mode, you can use fastboot commands from the computer to flash a new recovery.

Setting up fastboot on the computer and how to flash recovery are described SUroot's adb and fastboot faq.

Also, for future reference, if you have S-Off'd you could use a tool called "Android Flasher". I'm not 100% on this but it looks like a gui for fastboot commands. Can use it for changing radios, recovery and some other things such as splash images. Dead simple. Load the file, put your phone in fastboot, connect to pc and press "go" flash away! That simple.

Why would you need to be s-off if android isn't running?

One thing from this thread - my PC stopped seeing the phone whilst I was trying to root etc. It was Windows playing up - probably as new phone drivers were loaded etc. A quick restart cured the problem.

S-off will enable you to fastboot flash what you need to get the phone running (custom recovery, radio, hboot and stuff), as i understand things.
