I've been using 4ext touch for a while. Pretty good. Was dubious,as it was based on "cwm" source but it certainly has delivered

can you link to the post you got this from on xda please

im using 4ext latest beta too. im dubious about the standard cwm version of touch. and tbh 4ext pioneered this touch recovery lark it seems. so id stick with them

I'm curious about the partitioning tool contained within 4ext. I know the standing recommendation is to use gparted - but the 4ext tool is pretty straightforward. What are the thoughts on it?

The last discussion of this I saw was still recommending GParted (which TBH would be my instinct).

Does 4Ext handle amend scripts, or is it edify only? I kinda like that old CWM 2.5.0.7 can handle both.

i will always recommend gparted, the partitioning is still sdparted and it aligns via script afterwards.
however the rest of the recovery is good. ive not tried to flash an ammend script for a while so i dont know
