Default Swindon rooter?

Hi. I'm a noob. Have had my Desire for a year now and am very happy with it. Unfortunately I'm getting fed up with the internal memory issues. Will rooting it help with this? If so, is there anyone in the Swindon area who can show me how to do this without bricking my phone?

Please read the rooting faq and the root memory faq. Once you have read those, we will happily field any questions you have

i second that. If you follow the guides here and mess up, the nice people here will be able to help. It's if you follow other guides elsewhere, we have problems, as we don't know what you have done. Rooting is daunting, but is really simple if you read everything in the faq's.

Thanks guys. However, I'd prefer someone to show me rather than risk making a blunder!

Haven't noticed anyone from Swindon around here. We all felt like you did at one time though.

I think most people here feel like me, have a read, absorb as much as you can, any bits you don't understand just ask.
Much better that people try to understand the process first.
