alright everyone, before I try something stupid, I would like to consult all of you experts, since the information on the internet is not very conclusive.
I recently installed CM7.1 + CWM 188.8.131.52., to make some extra room on my Desire for installing apps. Although happy with the memory gains, this extra room soon evaporated with all the updates, user data and what have you. So I decided to tap in to the hidden options of CWM, creating an ext-partition. But since I can't find a decent tutorial for my specific situation, I would like to ask all of you if the following approach is recommended:
Download & install gParted
Mount SD-card & backup data on harddisk
Partition SD-card with 1024MB ext-4 and the rest FAT32
Copy backed up data to new FAT32-partition
put SD-card back in Desire and boot
Will this increase the available "internal memory" with 1024MB, and retain all the apps I currently have installed on both internal memory and SD-card? Do I need to install additional apps?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
