Default HTC Bottom Cover: why are they soooo expensive?

I've got a HTC Desire HD. The bottom cover is a little mangled. It's the bottom part where you push/slide open to put the SIM in.

I've looked on eBay - wow... why so expensive??

It's ONLY a piece of plastic!

Cheapest must be about £16

Doesn't make sense

Anyone know where I can get one for cheaper?

Thanks

OM

It's not just a sim/SD card cover, it's also the aerial for the phone.

You can see in the image below how the phone uses the cover as an antenna, the same on the battery cover which I believe is for Wifi.

Broke mine the first day i got the phone trying to take it off to put the sim in. Contact HTC via the support page on the website and tell them you damaged it taking it off, thats what i did. 1 week later i had a replacement and also a brand new battery cover as well.

Very, very old word now generally replaced by "antenna" in the U.S., but still aerial in the U.K.

They say "lift," we say "elevator." That sort of thing.
