Default Otterbox Case

My otterbox commuter has begun to crack near the corner closest to the volume and power buttons.

Can I still just email them to send me a new one?

What would I say? Just that the case is cracking and I've been told you give replacements?

I don't really know... contact them and explain that the case is cracking and that you've not done anything out of the ordinary and ask them if they would replace it...

I believe they have a one year warranty period.

My first one developed a crack quickly. Ottetbox sent me a replacement quickly all the way from the USA.

The next one has been with me for 16 months, starting to look worn but

It came this week, good to know I have a backup when this one goes even worse. One crack from the top right corner and another across the app for the flash.
