Radio S-OFF/ON & Temp/Perma Root
Hey guys, so hopefully I'm going to be getting a Desire HD soon and I was hoping somebody could explain how rooting on the HD works. I'm not asking for a guide or step by step instructions, just for clarification on some of the steps and processes involved.
I've helped a lot of people root my current phone and so know the process backwards (the Hero is pretty much just 1 click root, flash the recovery and you're off). But from what I've been reading on XDA the process is more complicated for the HD.
So I was wondering what Radio S-ON/OFF is all about. Also, how does temp/perma rooting come into this? Can I just perma root straight off?
I assume once I have a recovery menu on there it will be no different to my current phone.
