Default Problem with DHD. Cant get to bootloader.

Hello! My problem came when I tryed to install Cyanogenmod 7 back to my phone after restoring it to a older backup. The back up worked fine but when I booted and tryed to install cya7 again it started bootlooping the cya7 welcome screen and now I cant get to bootloader anymore. I have tryed the normal volume button down way but when I start with volume down my phone only vibrates 5 times and the green led starts burning. Any ideas how to start fixing this?

Was the back up you used a GB 2.3 back up? If you tried to install CM7 over a Frayo Back up you most likely will have to flash back to stock GB and use 7, or Frayo and use 6.

CyanogenMod 7 firmware is based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with additional custom code contributed by the CyanogenMod Team.

I don't think can work until the inaccessible bootloader is solved.

Sorry, Veldor, I can't think of anything. Maybe a 60 second battery pull?

Which phone? You mention HDH but I am thinking that's a typo for DHD? If you want, I can move this to the Desire HD root area to get attention of others with the same phone, they may know.

Yes thank you! Moving this to HTC desire HD area would be good. HDH was typo I would have tryed to flash it again but as Earlymon mentioned the bootloader is not accessible. I also tryed the battery pull but it did nothing to the bootloader lock. It's hard to think that simple flash mishap would brick the phone totally.

Pull the battery and hold down the vol down button. Keep held as you put battery back in and once battery is in while still holding vol down power up. Might take two people lol

stublake13 thank you for the tip but I had no success that way. Tried it multiple times and still cant reach the bootloader.
Is there way to fix this via USB? when I connect the phone to my PC it starts to look for some drivers but fails. Would there be something there to work with.
ANY suggestion are welcome.

PM me when your done and I'll put something together to try and solve this.

One more question...if you power your phone on now even though bootloader refuses to come on do you still enter the CM bootloop? If you do it means the bootloader is still there somewhere if not we maybe looking at a brick unless flashing an RUU works.

Another thought just to throw a curve ball at you...you tried holding vol+ and power?

I tested power up and and vol+ and it gave me slightly different reaction. phone vibrated three times and orange led stars to blink.

While typing this and testing different combos I got in. So what I did was that I powered up holding vol+ down. It gave me reaction as above then I kept pushing the vol+ down and pulled the battery for sec and putted it back. Then I powered the phone and held vol- down and there it was BOOTLOADER!

Thank you all for your time and help with my problem.
