Sad Rooting problem

Hi! in the last three hours i have been struggling with this annoying htcdev rooting problem. You have probably heard this question a thousand times already, but you'll have to survive one more time
So it's instructions and all on this rooting ( find it here: HTCdev - Please Log In) but sill the problem "waiting for device" is coming After the step 8, when i need to type this in to cmd " fastboot oem get_identifier_token" the waiting for device problem comes.

If there are some kind people that can help me i'll love them for the rest of my life

Did you go into your phone settings>security and enable usb debugging?

Also in settings>power uncheck fastboot

Are there any other programs on the PC that could be talking to the phone? HTC Sync for example?

No, sorry.

Have you tried other cables/USB ports etc? What about removing the HTC Sync program, but leaving the drivers?

I'll take a quick look on team viewer in a half hour or so. Will you be around?

per his other thread,he is not on an htcdev hboot:
2.3.5 dhd rooting

see my reply there. use this guide:
[how to] manually achieve s-off,simunlock,supercid for Inspire 4g/DHD

stop after htcdev unlock if youre not interested in flashing roms.

between work and other project, and helping other users in these forums,i unfortunately do not have time for one-on-one private help. i prefer to help here in the forums, where many users can benefit from the info.

the linked guide(and the htcdev guide it links) are as noob frinedly and basic as i could make them. they are intended for folks new to android and rooting, and to an extent new to working on a PC.

why dont you read thru the guides, and post in those threads with the questions you have, and we will be glad to help you get them sorted

Hey sorry. Been a little busy lately. It would show up in the command Window. It should say connected and show a serial number. If not then the drivers aren't installed properly
