Default htc deire hd back to original

hi guys i wonder if any of you can help. i have an htc hd desire on jellybean my wife has an original htc desire hd to, hers is unrooted and all is as it was when first bought could i back up her phone and save to sd card then put the sd card in my phone and then put her original phone state onto my phone

I don't think that's possible unfortunately, I think your best bet would be to run an RUU to get back to stock. It has been a very long time since I've had this phone now, so I'm going to move this into the root section and leave it in the very capable hands of the DHD root users

A RUU would be the best way to get back to stock. Give us details of you phone and we can help you identify the correct RUU. The other option would be to flash a rooted stock ROM. I world probably go with the second one. It does depend on the reasons you are going back to stock.

the phone i think was previously on orange and is about 2 years old
