Question HTC Sense My Location Widget

Is there a way to switch on/off the GPS when going to the page with the HTC Sense My Location Widget.

if i press on pin to open my location, that does, because i have it as a function in tasker.... but i cannot find a function to cover the page widget.

when navigating to any page with a HTC Sense widget on it, if it is updatable like friend stream, it will refresh automatically everytime the page is accessed.

the my location one would refresh automatically, but i do not want o leave the gps on all the time, this is why i have tasker, to switch on anf off functions only when they are needed.

thanks.
