Hi, I have a Desire HD with the latest andriod for this phone (2.3.5. + HTC Sense 3.0).

I am having trouble with contacts that do not appear in search results and SMS lists.

I managed to solve this by opening a contact, going to edit and then save. This probably resets the search index. However, this keeps happeneing with other random contacts.

Is there any way to re-build the search index? Or otherwise solve this problem?

The contacts that it can't find, do you know if they were phone, sim, or google contacts?
