Accept your computer a plain USB stick or your SD card in a card reader?

Are one of this computer able to read the SD card with help of a card reader, attached at the computer's USB connector?
If not then the card might be defect.

Well, maybe a work-around.

If your computers reachable via WiFi you might install EStrongs File Explorer and with it connect your phone to the computers's shares.
