my htc desire hd is freezing more and more. it does it when texting, on the web browser and when opening apps. generally very laggy and doesn't seem to be multitasking very well at all. i would like some assistance with the problem that may involve not having to wipe the phone and start again. it is coming up to the end of 18 month contract november and is running on the android 2.3.5 with sense 3.0. i use task killing apps and havent overloaded it with apps. never been dropped and have looked after it well. unfortunetly i think will be moving to different brand when upgrade but any help to sort this phone would be appreciated.

You're using task killing apps? I would uninstall those as they just do more harm than good and eat up more usage and battery life than they save. Have you tried clearing the cache on all your apps and deleted any text messages you don't need anymore?

I was using the task killers for past year and it's been about four months problem getting worse. Clear cache on regular basis.

Try uninstalling the task killers as they just do more harm than good I'm afraid.

Will give it a go but another suggestions to try if no luck with that one. I.e. not hard reset

Hi have uninstalled a load of apps and soft reset. Still doing it. Is there any other apps or things could try?

You uninstalled the task killer apps? Did you recently upgrade your software by any chance? Did you root your device?

Do you have USB debugging enabled? If not, enable it and see if it helps, it always used to for me but I don't really know why.

Yeah uninstalled the task killer. Not update for a while an not rooted. Will try the USB debug. Ta.
