Default Calendar not synching both ways with Outlook 2007

I’ve got an HTC Desire on Android 2.2 which I sync. to Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 PC.
I’ve noticed that if I make a new appointment on the Desire it is not transferred to the Outlook diary. New appointments in the Outlook diary do transfer to the Desire. Had this problem since I got the phone about 4 weeks ago. Was exactly the same with Android 2.1. Have checked out the settings in HTC Sync but can’t see anything obviously amiss.
Anybody got any ideas.
Also in common with other posts I'd also like to be able to sync. Outlook tasks & notes with the Desire both of which I use extensively.

I'd recommend you guys to start using Myphoneexplorer.
Link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fjsoft.myphoneexplorer.client&featu re=search_result

You install the app from Market to your phone, then install the PC software from their website FJ Software Development

Finally configure the options on PC and you can sync (USB or Wifi) your data. It has many options, so you need to take it slow and properly learn how to use it.
Also, read about that here: MyPhoneExplorer - manage your phone via PC - now also for Android
