WiFi: Data connectivity problem

Data connectivity problem: A secure connectiion could not be established

i get this message when i'm trying to connect to FREE WiFi here at the airport. i was able to connect to the main page before. i just updated to 2.2 i'm not sure if it has something to do with it?

I have found that Android 2.2 seems to have a problem with WIFI. Even if your previous version of Android worked. I did some troubleshooting at home. Changing my home router to "g" only vice "bgn" bands allowed me to connect via wifi at home (very reliably). Prior to this change I would connect and disconnect repeatedly and get "page not available". I hear this may be getting fixed with an Android update sometime in the future???? This does not help at the airport.
